Social inequality and poverty have existed in our society for centuries. There is a wealth of research striving to understand these issues, yet these problems persist.

We believe research can focus too much “on” communities and not “with” them.  At the Binks Hub, we design research in partnership with the people whose lives are affected by the issues we’re seeking to understand and improve.

We believe that by using arts, crafts and other creative activities to investigate the issues that matter most to communities, we have an opportunity to make a powerful difference.

The Binks Hub was established through a founding gift from the Binks Trust. We want to build a community of donors, funders, and partners who share our vision for working with artists and communities to co-create transformative research that redresses social inequalities and changes people’s lives for the better.
